The APA funds this project and both the APA Grade 6 Graduation\u00a0Committee and school work together to come up with a concept\u00a0and hire an artist to lead the project with the Grade 6s.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Last year, the Grade 6s were learning remotely but the school was able to source an artist who worked with the students in online Indigenous art workshops. Indigenous artist, Phillip Cote, taught students about cosmology and woodland creatures in Indigenous art. The students painted individual canvases which were then formatted into a collage by Joanna Aykol, an Allenby parent.
