It is incredible to think that it is November already! We have had a particularly busy time for the first two months of school, and are well on our way into a productive and exciting school year.<\/p>\n
We said good bye to Ms. Cooper-Eade on Monday and on Tuesday welcomed Mr. George Brown Junior as our Acting Vice principal.<\/p>\n
We were very grateful for the good weather so we could have our Halloween Parade outside on Monday as planned and enjoyed the dancing to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” by some of Ms. Jube’s drama\/dance classes.<\/p>\n
Progress Reports will be sent home on Wednesday, November 16th with students Grades 1 – 6. Interviews will be held that week, with Friday, November 18th being a Professional Activity Day. Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten students will receive a report at this time. You will get a letter from your child’s teacher with interview times.<\/p>\n
Our Volunteer Reading program will begin in 10 days. Thank you to those who have volunteered. There will be an orientation session for volunteers on Wednesday, November 9th. Invitations have been sent home to those who filled out a form.<\/p>\n
October’s Character Education focus was Responsibility<\/strong>. Students had discussions in their classrooms and some morning announcements about what responsibility looks like in the class, in the halls, in the school yard, at home and in the community. November’s theme is Empathy<\/strong>.
