This year we have established the Allenby Birthday Book Program<\/strong>, in keeping with TDSB and Ministry policies, in lieu of sugary treats to recognize student birthdays.<\/p>\n

If you wish to have your child’s birthday recognized in the school library, please fill out the submission form<\/a> to make a donation to Allenby’s Birthday Book Program. According to the information provided, a book will be purchased for the library.<\/p>\n

All birthday books will have a gift plate noting the student’s name and birthday. In addition, your child will be the first to check out the book, which will be added to the collection on his\/her birthday and will be photographed for our Birthday Books bulletin board during the month of his or her birthday. If your child has a summer birthday and you still wish to participate, we can arrange a special date to present the book (perhaps a half-birthday.)
\nIf there is a special book you would like to purchase yourself to donate, please get in touch with our Teacher Librarian, Andrea Payne (andrea.payne@tdsb.on.ca), to make sure we don’t already have a copy.<\/p>\n

Please submit payments to the office (in the bin labelled “Birthday Books”) via cheque made out to Allenby PS. Cheques must be submitted in a sealed envelope and labelled with your child’s name and room number.<\/p>\n

Birthday Book Program orders take 3-4 weeks to process, and will not be processed until payment has been received.<\/p>\n

Orders for birthdays early in the school year will be processed as soon as possible.
