The last newsletter of the 2010-2011 school year! Even though for many of us it feels like that time has flown by, when we look at all we have accomplished as a parent organization, we should be proud! All of us, no matter what role you have taken.<\/p>\n<p>Heather and I thank each and <strong>every one of you<\/strong> for your time, enthusiasm and support this year. This is also a great opportunity to give <strong>special<\/strong> thanks to the parents of the following programs whose daily and weekly dedication, whether as a committee &#8220;chair&#8221; or a volunteer, make the following programs run for the benefit of us all.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Newsletter and Website<\/strong>: For keeping us informed all the time<br \/>\n<strong>Kiss &#8216;n&#8217; Ride<\/strong>: Thank you for greeting our children, rain or shine.<br \/>\n<strong>Pizza Lunch<\/strong>: Without you we would all be making lunch 10 more times!<br \/>\n<strong>Attendance Verification<\/strong>: For making sure our kids arrive safely each day<br \/>\n<strong>Literacy Program<\/strong>: Helping to improve the reading skills of our students weekly<br \/>\n<strong>Greening Committee<\/strong>: Who work to make Allenby a place where flowers can grow<br \/>\n<strong>Parent Volunteers<\/strong>: For countless hours of coordination<br \/>\n<strong>After 4 Coordinators\/Baseball<\/strong>: Coordinating and sourcing great programs for our kids!<br \/>\n<strong>Fundraising Committees<\/strong>: Big Night Out, Lip Sync and Fun Fair have become the signature events that not only finance a large portion of our programs but also highlight our amazing Allenby Spirit.<br \/>\n<strong>Parking and Safety<\/strong>: For phone calls, letters, email, meetings and finally getting the parking signs CORRECTED! Whoo-hoo!<br \/>\n<strong>Lost and Found<\/strong>: Getting our gloves, mittens and bathing suits back to us \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\n<strong>Grade 6 Graduation Committee<\/strong>: For sending our seniors off in style<\/p>\n<p>And finally to the Executive Board, who work every day with such dedication, commitment and grace. We could not have done our jobs as Co-Chairs without their talent and support.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stuart Baltma<\/strong>n: Treasurer<br \/>\n<strong>Seonaid Calder<\/strong>: Secretary<br \/>\n<strong>Stephanie Kleiman<\/strong>: Director of Communications<br \/>\n<strong>Heather Stark and Catherine Vivash<\/strong>: Directors of Health and Safety<br \/>\n<strong>Andrew Heitelman and Paula Riczker<\/strong>: Directors of Public Awareness<br \/>\n<strong>Tamara Lowe and Yvette Duffy<\/strong>: Directors of Fundraising<br \/>\n<strong>Lisa Spiegel<\/strong>: Director of School Programs<\/p>\n<p>Yes, the planning for the 2011-2012 school year has already begun. We have some exciting things too, based on your feedback and ideas. So <strong>please<\/strong> continue to send us your feedback. What has worked this year? What could we do differently?
