The reason for his absence was an incomprehensible tragedy that has devastated his family. On May 26th, Rudy\u2019s youngest daughter, Rhoderie Estrada, was the victim of a home invasion and was killed. She was only 41-years-old; a nurse, a wife, a sister, a friend, a mother to three children and renowned for her constant smile.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to organize support to Rudy\u2019s grandchildren from the Allenby community.\u00a0<strong id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1529070793179_304535\">Tuesday, June 19th<\/strong>\u00a0will be <strong id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1529070793179_304537\">\u201cToonies for Rudy\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0day at Allenby. In order not to frighten the children, students will be told that the daughter of one of our crossing guards died suddenly and we are raising money to support the family. For parents who wish to make an additional contribution, a collection box will be kept in the office\u00a0until <strong>Friday, June 23rd<\/strong> (please donate in cash).
