Volunteering includes field trips, reading, supporting in a classroom,\u00a0etc. So if you would like to attend more than one field trip this is required.\u00a0If you are interested in volunteering on a\u00a0regular\u00a0basis at Allenby\u00a0PS,\u00a0a current criminal background check is required and a confirmation of the check must be submitted to Allenby.\u00a0<strong id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1529675396204_106822\">Summer is generally a good time to have a PRC completed and ready in time for the fall as the\u00a0wait time\u00a0can be lengthy.You can submit the application form directly to the police department and then in the September bring the original to the school.\u00a0<\/strong>If you want to volunteer in a bigger capacity and you can fill out a volunteer application form when you bring in the PRC.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"yui_3_16_0_ym19_1_1529675396204_108703\" href=\"https:\/\/allenbyparents.us9.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=5b5527a684a32a91614edc1de&amp;id=ccb2549848&amp;e=f487ea71b1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Toronto Police Service Reference Check Form (print and complete)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thank you to all of our volunteers who come in to help in many different capacities (e.g., in the classrooms, as Reading Angels, assisting on school trips, etc.) your help is very much appreciated!<\/p>\n<p>Deborah Zamin<br \/>\nVice Principal<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As we begin planning for the new school year,\u00a0 please note that new TDSB volunteering policy comes into effect requiring\u00a0anyone who volunteers\u00a0on more than one occasion\u00a0during the school year to submit a current Police Reference Check (PRC).
