Dear Allenby families and community,<\/p>\n
This year the ME to WE \u00a0group is excited to creatively make an impact in our world. One of our first fundraisers will be a bake sale on\u00a0Thursday, December 13, 2018<\/strong>, just a few weeks away! It will include a variety of baked goods, as well as a \u201cguess the number of jelly beans in a jar\u201d contest. All profits of this event will benefit families in need in Toronto.\u00a0 After the bake sale, we will be walking to Toys R\u2019 Us to buy toys with the money we raised, then we will donate the toys we bought to the Chum City Christmas Wish.<\/p>\n We know this will be a great initiative for our community to support underprivileged children in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) during the holiday season.<\/p>\n What the Me to We group is asking from you is your support. If you would like to contribute baked goods to the sale, we would be very grateful. Please remember that Allenby is a nut-free school, so please ensure all items donated are nut-free.<\/p>\n In addition, if you have any gift cards, or any new, unwrapped toys, it would be amazing if you could donate them to our local initiative.\u00a0 If you are able to donate, it would be ideal if it is appropriate for the age of your child\/the grade your child is currently in (note, you are NOT permitted to donate any toys that resemble any sort of weapon, or reference violence).<\/p>\n Any help would be greatly appreciated. All items can be brought to the office.
