On Monday, October 27, 2014, as part of the municipal election, we have the opportunity to vote for TDSB trustees. Trustees are very important in the running of our school board – they pick the priorities and they approve the budget. They advocate for our kids and the programs we want to have for them.<\/p>\n

What you can do:<\/p>\n

Check who your trustee candidates are on the city website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Learn more about what trustees do on the Ontario Public School Board Association election site<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When you see your local candidates at an all candidates’ meeting or in the community, ask one of these suggested questions<\/a> from Canadian Parents for French.<\/p>\n

Share this article from the Toronto Star<\/a> with friends, family and neighbours to encourage voters to make an informed choice for trustee.<\/p>\n

What your FSLAC is doing:<\/p>\n

FSLAC is sending a short survey to every trustee candidate about French programs and we will be sharing the responses with you via email before the advance polls open on Tuesday, October 14.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your vote matters for all of our kids. You can help maintain and improve our French as a Second (Official) Language programs and make the TDSB an even better place to go to school.<\/p>\n
