In fact when I found out I was pregnant with my eldest, my first stop was the bookstore, yes even before telling my husband. Over the years, I have read many books and seen many presenters whom have guided the decisions I have made both at school and at home to support students and my own children to be the best of themselves. A number of years ago, I saw Dr. Alex Russell speak and, immediately following the presentation, began reading Drop the Worry Ball. My copy of the book has dog eared pages, has been leant out to teachers, family members and Allenby parents over the years. I can’t think of another book that has resonated with me more as a parent than this title.

On November 22nd, we are very fortunate to have Dr. Alex Russell at Allenby to guide us as parents and educators on to raise self-motivated children.
