Please ask your children to bring everything home from their  lunches (including leftover food, and wrappings). The only things that they  should not bring home are their recycleable drink containers and the straws that  they use.<\/p>\n<p>This is an excellent way for you to find out what your  children are actually eating. Before this week&#8217;s assembly, Alex Vilde  (EcoSchools coordinator) took a quick look at what was in the garbage, and what  was in the recycling. She found entire sandwiches, full bags of carrots and  apples, full containers of pudding.<\/p>\n<p>Our children are very good at  recognizing the recyleable materials in their lunches, but not all of them are  completely educated.
