We recognize and appreciate that many Allenby families are performing critical front-line work in healthcare, food supply and other essential services. Thank you for the personal sacrifice you are making for our community.
For families who are looking for additional ways to give back, there are two government programs to consider:
- The City of Toronto recently launched the DonateTO:COVID-19 portal for businesses and residents to make donations of products, services and funds in support of the City’s pandemic relief efforts.
- The Government of Canada’s National COVID-19 Recruitment Campaign closes tonight (April 24th) at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (2:59 a.m. Eastern time). The Government of Canada is building an inventory of volunteers from which provincial and territorial governments can draw upon as needed. They welcome ALL volunteers as they are looking for a wide variety of experiences and expertise to assist with case tracking and contact tracing; health system surge capacity; and case data collection and reporting. Most of the work can be performed remotely from home with flexible schedules.
