This morning the PART committee received the Architect’s report and TDSB’s recommendation regarding the feasibility of building 2 classrooms at Allenby. While the build is still the preferred option for Allenby and the TDSB, we also received and discussed new information on other options for accommodating FDK and increased enrolment.
Based on the new information and discussions with TDSB staff, it is our recommendation to hold a school parent meeting before the Public Meeting on April 16th so that we can prioritize all of the viable options from the perspective of current parents with children enrolled at the school. This will be helpful in facilitating our discussion at the Public Meeting on April 16th. Please note that this will not be a full presentation of historical information as presented at the March 27th meeting, only information relevant to moving discussions forward.

The timing is not ideal, but unfortunately the window between receiving both the Architect’s Report and TDSB recommendation and the Public meeting is short. There are not a lot of options. We have booked the Library for Sunday April 14th from 4pm-6pm. For those that are unable to attend due to prior commitments and late notice, we will do our best to communicate via email prior to the Public meeting on Tuesday night.
