Class Representatives play a vital role in the Allenby family. For those of you who have been a Class Representative in the past, we are sure you will agree it is a very rewarding experience. Class Reps are the primary link for other parents and guardians to what is going on in your class, the school, and with the Allenby Parents Association. Being a Class Rep gives you an opportunity to meet and welcome parents and guardians in your child’s class, help organize holiday programs and parties, and recruit volunteers for special class celebrations and trips. In addition to helping the teacher, Class Reps receive and transmit information for the APA, attend monthly APA meetings, and help with baskets for the June Fun Fair. The Class Representative role is a guaranteed way to be a part of what is going on at Allenby.
If you are interested in becoming a Class Representative, please complete an application form. Hard copies are available in the school office. Once complete, put it into your child’s backpack or return it directly to the school office no later than September 5th, 2014.
If you are selected to be a Class Rep, you will be sent an email by the end of Week 2. A more detailed outline of the role will also be sent at this time. If you have not been selected as the Class Rep for your child’s class this year, you will find that there are many other areas in which you can volunteer.
Thank you in advance for your interest. If you would like more information, please contact Colette Kim, APA Class Representative Coordinator for 2014-15
