May 26th was the first official TDSB bike to school day, with one school
in each quadrant eligible to win a bike rack. The contest required each participating school to submit a letter describing preparation for the bike day and the schools need for a bike rack, followed by a letter after the day describing the participation of staff, children and parents.
I am pleased to share that Allenby has won the bike rack in our school quadrant.
Again, thanks to Room 102 for their “bike parking” signs and announcements, and to all the staff, children and parents for the participation, engagement, anecdotes and photos sent illustrating bike to school day.
Way to Wheel Allenby!
A very special thank you to Robin Halpern who orchestrated the whole thing!
