Every morning and afternoon parent volunteers work in the office checking attendance and making sure that everyone who is supposed to be at school is in fact there. To make our job easier and to make sure your child is safely at school when they should be, please call the Attendance Verification line (416-393-9114; save it in your cell or put it by your home phone) if your child will be EITHER ABSENT OR LATE. It is not sufficient to tell your child’s teacher or talk to the office staff. All absences need to be called in, even for religious holidays. Everything you need to know and do is below:

Please leave the following info:
1) Your child’s name (it is helpful to spell it)
2) Your child’s room number (not just the teacher name please)
3) If your child will be late or absent
4) How long they will be absent if more than one day
5) Reason for their absence.
Please speak clearly and audibly. Spell your child’s name even if it is John Smith. The office is a busy place in the morning and it can be hard to hear messages, especially calls made from cell phones.
