TDSB Committees, made up of community members, Trustees, and staff are in place for many of these to plan activities that celebrate the month and our diverse TDSB community.

- Friday, May 5: National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls in Canada—Government of Canada
- Friday, May 5: Red Dress Day for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People—Canadian Broadcasting Corporation/Assembly of First Nations
- Sunday, May 7: International Family Equality Day—Family Equality Council
