The safety of students while traveling to and from school is paramount. Allenby serves a large student population with many cars and children traveling around the school perimeter. Traffic congestion, cars parked illegally, three point turns and speed all contribute to an extremely unsafe environment for both pedestrians and drivers.
All students are encouraged to walk to school. Drivers with children in grade 1-6 are asked to use the Student Safe Arrival Kiss and Ride drop off program operating westbound on Castlefield Avenue and beginning next week. A safe alternative is to park legally and/or park a block away and walk children to the school. Please do your part in helping to ensure a safe and walkable environment around our school.
