Orange Shirt Day Tomorrow

f588fb86-6945-4349-ae92-e00e97f0eef7Tomorrow, Friday, September 30, Allenby will be participating in Orange Shirt Day. Our participation in this event is a symbol of our recognition that many children in Canada have not been treated equally, and that many indigenous children have been subjected to systemic cultural suppression and do not have access to basic necessities, social services and education. We wear our orange shirts on tomorrow to show that the Allenby community recognizes that every child matters. We will also be tweeting our support and showing details of our classroom activities around this topic on Twitter, using the hashtags #EveryChildMatters and #OrangeShirtDay. We hope to see a beautiful sea of orange on Friday!
