On Thursday March 5th, we will be hosting Dr. Robyne Hanley Dafoe, who will be speaking on the importance of resilliency in children and how parents can develop and encourage resiliency in children.
Dr. Robyne struggled through elementary and high school as a child and teen, to the point where educators and other adults predicted she would never graduate. She proved them right and eventually dropped out of high school. After experiencing a traumatic car accident as a 16 year old, she became determined to prove everyone wrong. Through her experiences, she became very curious about why some people “get up” and some people “give up” and is now a multi-award winning psychology instructor who specializes in resiliency, navigating stress and change and personal wellness. She is described as transformational, inspirational, engaging and thought-provoking.
