We have excitedly watched the green turf roll out on the Allenby field, and the installation of many other improvements to the Schoolyard. It has been a long time coming. We thank the TDSB and Construction staff who have worked tirelessly over the summer months on the project.
What’s New?
Artificial Turf!
Yes, it is green! It is now our responsibility to keep it that way. We ask that everyone adheres to TDSB’s Artificial Turf Rules and to help remind other users of the rules after school hours:- No pets (e.g. dogs) in the schoolyard, especially on the turf
- No wheeled objects (strollers, bikes, scooters etc.). Please use the track to make your way around
- No fireworks
- No golf
- No smoking
- Soccer posts and baseball backstop

Protective fencing
- separating the field from the playscape and basketball areas
- NO climbing the fence please!
Basketball courts and line games
- New basketball court with 2 new posts/nets and Triple Hoop
- Four Square, 100s chart and hopscotch games
- Rocks for sitting and 6 trees for shade (trees to come fall 2015)
Playscape
New musical play equipment
- coloured drums and pagoda bells to encourage musical exploration and expression
- Please use gently and respect others by not playing too loudly.
Sitting logs and Peace Pole
- for quiet time and/or to resolve arguments

- Row of trees to be planted to the south of the field
- New sand for our long jump pit
- Donor recognition items
- A grand opening and thank you for the school and community
