Fun was had by all at the annual Allenby Fun Fair this past Saturday! Despite the teeming rain, the Fun Fair continued! In just four hours, the Allenby community consumed 650 hot dogs, 450 pizza slices, 650 ice creams, 500 freezies, and 1400 drinks. All of this while playing many games, enjoying the rides, getting faces painted, collecting prizes, and dunking their classmates!
All this fun raised $15,000 that will be used to support Allenby school programming – Artists and Scientists in the Classrooms, the technology initiative, greening of the playground, and much more!
Thank you to each and every one of the volunteers who worked to make the Fun Fair a success! Not only did the set up crew have to contend with thunder and lighting, they had to set up, tear down, and set up a second time! All was done without one complaint!
Thank you to all 250 volunteers who showed up to run the games, rides and stations. A special thanks to all the volunteers who remained once the Fair ended to help tear down!
