Registration is now open for the Enhancing Equity Ward Forums. These are collaborative, working sessions between staff, students, parents and communities to develop strategies and an action plan to improve equity in our schools. Sandra and I will be attending Ward 8’s Forum at John Polanyi on Monday May 15th from 6:30-8:30 pm, hosted by the Enhancing Equity Task Force, and invite you to join us (at least four engaged members – staff, support staff, students and parents – of your school community).
The session will have an educational component and will be prepare you to go back to your school and lead conversations about where your school is on equity to complete a survey and generate a baseline for your individual school. This data will help guide the equity foci for the school.
