Every year after March Break, while we all focus on finishing the year, a group of people are busy developing staffing/class models for the next school year.
Principal Jennie Ucar submits Allenby’s suggested models based on enrolment numbers by the end of March, beginning of April. Before they are submitted to the superintendent and further, a group of parents are encouraged to participate in the process by developing potential models. Teachers do the same. All models must be developed in accordance with ministry guidelines (for example, observing the 20 student cap in the primary grades).
This process is usually done over a two-week period with a group of volunteer parents and led by an executive APA member. So, I am asking for volunteers for this years committee. Ideally we will need two to three parents from both French and English, as models need to be done for both streams. Please contact me via email if you are interested. Should there be many volunteers, selection will be done on a first come first serve basis.
