At approximately 2:30 p.m. yesterday, Toronto Police Services entered a house on Castlefield. As students were out at recess at that time, several saw the police enter the house.
Immediately after the Allenby office staff was informed, I went across the street and spoke to a police officer on the scene. I was assured that at no point were the students and staff at Allenby in any danger. An announcement was made to the school sharing this information.
Please be assured that all Toronto District School Board sites, including Allenby, have policies and procedures in place to ensure the safety of all those on TDSB premises.
