Dear Allenby Families,
It has been a very busy past few weeks at Allenby and we have the banners to prove it hanging in the office for Cross Country Running, Football and Softball! There have been plenty of field trips as well to places such as The McMichael Gallery, Ste-Marie-Among-the-Hurons, Forest Valley, and Round the Bend. Allenby has enjoyed having visitors come to share information with us, namely our Community Safety Liaison Officer Janet Stather and a Deputy Principal from Yangzhou Yucai Primary School in Jiangsu province of China. The staff and students also organized a very moving Remembrance Day assembly for Allenby on Monday and a guest speaker, Lt. Commander Smith, spoke to the students about the Canadian Armed Forces.
Just a reminder that our next Safe and Caring School Committee meeting is on November 21st at noon in the school library. All are welcome. Please sign in at the office and ask for a Visitor or Volunteer Badge if you are coming into the school for any purpose.
