Build Update – Week of March 3

The concrete work has begun so we will be able to get a better sense of how the new classrooms will fit into the current landscape of the school. There will be more inside work completed over the March break, such as setting up the “new” daycare kitchen. As the weather warms up, the outside construction should be able to be accomplished more quickly. We are very excited about the Learning Garden that will be created on the roof of the new addition. Our ECO Schools contact with the TDSB and an engineer from FOOD SHARE are assisting us with the design and acquisition of some components for housing plants. Many staff with a green thumb are very anxious to create an outdoor classroom on this new space. If you have any questions about the build, please email communications@allenbyparents.com.
