Dear Allenby Parents,
Our annual Free the Children Fundraisers are coming up! The Allenby Free the Children group is a team of grade 6 leaders that put together numerous activities to donate to both global and local initiatives. Our current local initiatives include:
TOY DRIVE CURRENTLY UNDERWAY: Please donate newly bought or unopened toys, books or gift cards by Tuesday, December 16, to be dropped off at room 112. Let’s build smiles one gift at a time!
BAKE SALE and JELLY BEAN COUNT: A bake sale and jellybean count is coming on Wednesday, December 10. All treats are priced $1 and up, and each guess for the jellybean count is 50 cents. Whoever has the closest guess gets to keep all the jelly beans.
50/50 DRAW: Lastly, we are doing a 50/50 draw on the night of the Wednesday, December 10 Showcase. Half the money is given to the winning ticket, while the other half goes to charity.
The toys, gift cards and books will be given to Sick Kids Hospital, and the money from the other activities will go to Toronto Foundation for Student Success. We can’t wait to see you there!
