If Your Child Is Absent

Please call the AVP Line if your child will be absent or late.

Every morning and afternoon, parent volunteers work in the office checking attendance and making sure that all students are accounted for. Please call the Attendance Verification line (416-393-9114) if your child will be either absent or late. All absences must be called in, including any religious holidays for which the school remains open.

Please leave the following info:

1. Your child’s name (it is helpful to spell it)
2. Your child’s room number (not just the teacher name please)
3. If your child will be absent or late
4. How long they will be absent if more than one day
5. Reason for their absence.

Please speak clearly and audibly. Spell your child’s name (even if it is John Smith). The office is a busy place in the morning and it can be hard to hear messages, especially calls from cell phones. But most importantly, remember to call.
