The Allenby Kindergarten team, which consists of teachers, school administration, daycare staff and parents, is gearing up for full-day kindergarten. In order to be fully staffed for FDK, Allenby is looking for people who are interested in becoming Lunch Room Supervisors, as each FDK classroom will require one supervisor. If you are interested in finding out more about these paid positions, please go to the school website and look on the FDK page. The Kindergarten Open House for our new kindergarten families is scheduled for Thursday June 12.
Now that the weather is warmer, kids will spend more time outside, which is great if they are protected from too much sun. Please encourage your children to bring a sun hat to school each day and to apply sunscreen as students are outside for two 15 minute recesses and a 30 minute lunch recess most days.
