As week two is coming to an end, we are pleased to say that the new classrooms are in full use by students. The construction work is scheduled to be fully completed by Monday, September 22, just in time for our Curriculum Night on Tuesday, September 23. Once the construction fencing is removed, all of the school exterior doors will be locked during the school day, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. We understand that this may be an inconvenience for some people. However, it will help to make Allenby a safer place for our students.
Anyone who is not a staff member is to go to the main office upon entering the school building to sign in. Lunches and other items for students are to be dropped off at the office for staff to deliver to students. Teachers are not available to meet with parents or guardians during instructional time unless a specific meeting time and location have been pre-arranged with the teacher. Now that another school year is underway, we are asking that everyone help us focus on safety and the academic, social and emotional well-being of our students.
