Principal’s Message

Spring has finally arrived and the trees are developing some colour. Our playground is full of excited laughter as students are spending more time outside each day. The Allenby yard is also enjoyed by community members seven days a week. As a community, we need to enforce the “no dog” policy as there are over 800 students using our school yard each day. This will become more critical once the artificial turf has been installed. Please help remind dog owners that the school yard is not suitable for their pets.

With this warmer weather, students are getting out their summer attire to wear to school. Please remember that our dress code is in effect which includes the “three finger rule’ for sleeveless tops and  the “mid-thigh length” for shorts, dresses and skirts. Pants and shorts are not to ride low on the torso, and tops are to be long enough to cover the midriff at all times. Inappropriate language or logos are not to be visible on clothing. Flip flop sandals are not safe on our stairs so please ensure that proper footwear is also worn each day. Thank you for reviewing this dress code with your children.
