Principal’s Message

As mentioned in my message last week, ETFO has reached a tentative agreement with the Province and is pending ratification later this week. Please note that progress reports for grades 1 to 6, which were previously scheduled to go home this week, will be sent home on December 10th. There will not be a day dedicated to Parent-Teacher conferences, however teachers are requesting interviews with families where there are concerns. If you wish to schedule a meeting, you may speak to your child’s teacher, but please understand that our teachers are currently completing progress reports, so your patience would be appreciated. Tomorrow is a PA Day, so there is no school for students.

Yesterday we held our Remembrance Day Assembly which had students from our choir and various grades participating. It was a beautiful service and we were happy to have Warrant Officer Mike Cacciavillani (who is a reserve officer and an Allenby Parent) and Lieutenant Commander Ryan Klassen join us in the assembly and in speaking to classes throughout the morning. Poppies were provided to students through The Royal Canadian Legion. Donations to the Legion can be made to a box in the school office until the end of next week.
