Just in time for Spring cleaning… Allenby will be running its annual used book drive Tuesday May 24 to Wednesday June 1, look for labeled bins/ boxes throughout the school.
All new or gently used books will be donated to The Children’s Book Bank a charity that collects and distributes books to children who might otherwise have a chance to own their own book.
What they are looking for:
- Children’s books for kids aged birth to 12 yrs old.
- New or gently used, no missing covers, torn pages, of pages with colouring or writing on them.
- Children’s books printed in the last ten years.
Through our efforts we are helping to share the magic of book ownership and literacy with families throughout our great city.
