In light of recent reports in the media, and related parent/guardian concerns, please review the TDSB Assessment of the Potential Toxic Effects of Chemicals in Artificial Turf, published November 2013. This document summarizes the TDSB’s research on the safety of artificial turf, including evidence from credible public agencies in both Canada and the US. The TDSB continues to monitor developments in related research and to explore potential risk mitigation strategies.
