Volunteers are needed to help with the attendance verification program. AVP is how we ensure that each child is accounted for. If your child is going to be absent or late, we ask that you call the school before 9:00 and let the school know – telling the teacher directly is not enough.
That’s where the volunteers come in. Each morning we need a volunteer to call the homes of every child who is marked absent and who’s parents have not called in. It’s a simple job, especially when every parent remembers to call the office.
Help make sure our kids are safe! Save the APA some money (by not hiring a dedicated AVP caller). Plus, it’s fun! If you would like to volunteer, even a little bit (we always need people last minute), please contact Marcia at zed@fugue.net.
