On Monday, we received a message from Director of Education Chris Spence, asking schools to coordinate a Toonie Tuesday on Tuesday March 29th to support the relief efforts in Japan.
We are asking Allenby students to bring in 5$ next Tuesday – but of course no donation is too small and a toonie or loonie is great. TDSB is supporting the Canadian Red Cross in its efforts, and online donations on behalf of the tdsb can also be made at www.redcross.ca/tdsb.
As we have a tight deadline, we have asked the APA to forward this information to the Allenby community via Class Parents, and teachers will touch on this in class.
