What do poetry, nuclear fusion, avocado farming, procrastination, Norse mythology, and mental health have in common?
They are among the many subjects selected by students for their French public speaking presentations for this year’s Concours d’art oratoire. Our Grade 5 and 6 French Immersion students participated in the French public speaking club and researched, wrote, and presented their final speeches to a school audience in February. Each orator did an exceptional job preparing for this event over several weeks.
The school finalist Eden went on to represent Allenby earlier this week at the TDSB regional finals in the Grade 4–6 French Immersion category with a speech on GMOs and nutrition.
