Room 209A Makes a Difference

Over the past few months, we have been reading, writing, and speaking about boys and girls around the world who have “Made a Difference”. We’ve read about Canadian children helping to bring clean water to third world countries, and about a Canadian baseball team who helped make a Ugandan baseball team’s wishes come true. We also read about a young Ontario girl who helped save an entire wetland habitat from destruction, and about a young Ontario boy who spent his time and money to help kids in hospitals.

These stories inspired us and made us realize that we too can make a difference. We researched and spread awareness about 4 endangered animals in Canada. The live animal assembly at our school helped to make our message loud and clear so that we were able to raise $2085 to help Earth Rangers protect these at risk animals. The assembly and the button sales were a huge success and made us feel that we “Made a Difference”. Thank you to all the staff, students and parents at Allenby for all your support.
