Soiree for the Schoolyard was a huge success! It was a night filled with fun, food and community. We had fabulous attendance and raised over $35,000 for the FUNd Hard for Our Schoolyard Campaign. Thank you to all who attended and PARTIED HARD for our schoolyard! Thank you also to our community businesses and Allenby staff who supported the event through event sponsorships and donations to our casino, silent and live auctions. A very special thank you to the committee members who generously donated their time and efforts in planning and executing such a great event.
Who won the free recess? Room 204 had 22 ticket purchases and room 202 was not far behind with 20. Both classes will get outside for an extra recess at some point this year. Although, they may want to save it for warmer weather!
With such a successful Soiree, we have now passed the finish line on our race to raise $100,000. With the money raised from the Soiree, we have raised the funds required for Phase One of the Schoolyard Enhancement Project.

What’s next? We are awaiting the confirmation of a construction contract that will result from the TDSB tendering process. Information will be shared as it becomes available.
